Classes

The follow guidelines and etiquettes will help you throughout your study, please read them carefully and contact us if you have any queries.

Please refrain from using this service unless you are a convert or someone who is not Muslim. Our resources are limited and our funding is for this specific group of people only. Breaking this rule or lying about one’s situation will be considered a severe breach of trust
Set up an intentional space where the class is going to happen free of distractions
For the best experience, we advise you to download and update the Zoom app (although not necessary) and use a laptop, PC, or tablet instead of a mobile phone
If you are joining via your web browser and not the Zoom app, be sure to select “Join via computer audio”
Be aware that some classes may be recorded and may or may not be used by New Beginnings in the future in audio or video format
If you have missed a session, please catch up by watching the recording on the login page. The orientation session is under the Knowing God module.

Set your name to your real name
Keep your video on, if possible
Make sure you’re muted when not talking
Be yourself and respect others
Ask questions using the chat function
Use reactions to engage with your class
Think before you write/ask
Utilise the raise your hand feature if wanting to ask a question live (you can do this by clicking on the “Participants” button or clicking “more”)
Don’t be too shy to ask a question or to ask for help, no question is a silly question

Revision is key. We advise you to revise the class material within the first 24 hours and then on a weekly basis
Recordings may take a day or two to become available, you can access them via the log-in page
Please make an effort to attend every lesson, if for some reason you are unable to, recordings of each lesson will be available on the log-in page

No politics, no advertising, and no sharing of messages outside of the groups are allowed.
Please refrain from answering religious questions, our teachers will answer in due course.
Don’t be shy to ask and converse with others.
Remain respectful and courteous to others.
