Rumela trained as a radiographer and studied Diagnostic Radiography at St George’s medical school. Converting to Islam from Hinduism in 2004 she continued to learn and study in the middle east. Rumela focused her time on quranic studies, spirituality, and etiquettes of calling people to God.
Since 2010 she has been involved in teaching converts. Rumela is passionate and concerned that converts have the opportunity to grow and learn in a safe space without changing who they are at their core. ‘Islam didn’t come to replace us, but rather to encourage us to be the best version of ourselves’.
